We all have those days where it seems like nothing goes right. Questions circle our minds; what did I do to deserve this? Why does bad stuff keep happening to me? This mindset is a chasm of negativity, it doesn’t change anything that has happened, nor can it! So what to do?
Take a breath. Feel the air fill the stomach, exhale, and feel the air leaving the body. As that air leaves, remember the dreams you have! The dream of becoming successful, the best you! Ah, that situation doesn’t seem to mad now does it! Time to conquer the day!
We are the weavers of our own destiny, no one will come along and realize our dreams for us! Before I started this post, I was feeling down, not at all ready to seize the day. Then I reminded myself to stop being a baby and persevere! Other people have it far worse than I do, and they don’t complain. What’s their secret?
Well it’s not so much a secret as a way of life. Whenever these hard workers and determined individuals are presented with a situation, they accept it, if they cannot change it. And if they can, watch out world, they will persevere!
I’m not saying the change will come immediately, but changing your mindset towards the situation, and remembering to breathe can allow for solutions to billow forth! A few months back, a friend reached out and recommended a book to me. I had no idea how much motivation and enlightenment this book had until I read it. It opened my eyes, as to how I could live everyday to the fullest, no matter how dark the horizon looked! That book is “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle. The title speaks for itself, and I recommend it to any of my readers! Living in the “Now” allows me to live my life to the fullest everyday, even on those when I wake up feeling like I don’t want to do anything. Everyday I wake up, I remind myself that success is a journey, and like every journey there are milestones. (the “bad” milestones we call obstacles)
