Easy DIY deodorant. Three simple ingredients.

Deodorant DIY home recipe

Recently I have been hearing from friends and the media about the downside to store bought deodorant. You know the big ‘C’ word. Hearing this rumor drove me online, searching for a way to not be stinky. A natural remedy to BO, so I wouldn’t have to look around; like smell what? I don’t smell anything. I hoped and still hope that the big ‘C’ word being linked to store deodorant is just a rumor, but if it’s not I’m glad I switched to mixing up my own. The best part is that it only takes three simple ingredients, four if you want to add a scent!

  1. 2 Tbsp Baking Soda
  2. 5 Tbsp Shea Butter
  3. 1 Tbsp Coconut Oil
  4. A few drops essential oil, lavender maybe

Time to Mix It up!

Ok, now you have gathered all the ingredients! Put in a big ol’ bowl, and mix it up. Once it is all mixed up, grab your glass jar, throw a label on it, and pour in your deodorant! I use a 4 oz jar because they fit nicely in my backpack, and it’s only fifteen bucks for twelve of them.

Presto! You’ve got deodorant!

Now you’re all done, and the best part is you now have ingredients for your your own sunscreen and toothpaste! All natural and cheaper than the store bought stuff. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoyed!
